Jayden Phillip is a multimedia artist and social entrepreneur with expertise in writing, photography, and mass communication. His journey in youth work began as a choir member and later expanded through involvement in youth initiatives at his alma mater, Waterloo Secondary School, including Scotiabank Write Away!, a project by Bocas Lit Fest (BLF).

At 17, while pursuing his CAPE diploma in Science & Technology, Jayden was recruited as a Junior Core Artist by The 2 Cents Movement. The following year, he became the Bocas Lit Fest’s first Youth Programming Intern, contributing to the execution of four flagship festivals, two national performance poetry tours, and three editions of the First Citizens National Poetry Slam (FCNPS). His most notable achievement during this period was co-strategising the Slam Championship’s social media, helping to generate over 1.4 million in reach and 2.1 million engagement signals.

As Technical Artist at The 2 Cents Movement—the first role of its kind within the organisation—Jayden spearheaded its digital transformation, significantly improving the efficiency and impact of its performance poetry and creative consultancy work. In 2025, at just 20 years old, he was invited to join the Movement’s Board of Directors, becoming its youngest member.

In August 2025, he joined Paper Based Bookshop as Social Media Manager, where he explored the intersection of storytelling, digital culture, and literary community. He develops social media strategy at Outright Concepts Limited.

In December 2025, he was admitted as an Associate Member of the National Dance Association of Trinidad and Tobago, contributing in an advisory and executional capacity by unanimous approval of the Executive Committee. Beyond his artistic and organisational practice, Jayden has provided digital strategy consultation for social and commercial entities across Trinidad & Tobago, the wider Caribbean, and beyond. He is currently reading for a BA in Communication Studies at The University of the West Indies (The UWI), with research interests in media, technology, and literature.
